Requirements
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit (x64). iOS and Android are planned.
Check the file
SHA-256 of Mist_0.2.8_x64-setup.exe:

In PowerShell, in the folder you downloaded it to:
Get-FileHash .\Mist_0.2.8_x64-setup.exe
The Hash it prints must match the value above.
“Windows protected your PC”
The installer is not yet signed with a code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. To continue, click More info → Run anyway. If you want to be sure the file is genuine, check its SHA-256 first.
Updates after installation are different: Mist checks each update's signature itself before installing it, and installs only when you click “Update”.
